What to Expect from Your First Telehealth Visit at Slender Me Medical
Telehealth Made Simple at Slender Me Medical
If you've never had a telehealth appointment before, it can feel unfamiliar. But at Slender Me Medical, we've designed our telehealth process to be as simple and comfortable as possible — so you can focus on your health goals, not the logistics.
Whether you're interested in our Semaglutide or Tirzepatide weight loss program, hormone replacement therapy, or another telehealth service, here's exactly what you can expect from start to finish.
Step 1 — Choose Your Program and Purchase Online
The first step is selecting the program you're interested in from our online store and completing your purchase. Don't worry — purchasing online does not guarantee dispensing of medication. It simply initiates the process and gets our clinical team in touch with you to begin your evaluation.
Not sure which program is right for you? Call our team at (951) 898-8515 and we'll help point you in the right direction before you purchase.
Step 2 — Our Team Reaches Out to Schedule Your Visit
After your purchase, a member of our clinical team will reach out to you — typically by text or phone — to schedule your telehealth appointment and collect any intake information needed prior to your visit. This may include a brief health questionnaire covering your medical history, current medications, and health goals.
Step 3 — Your Telehealth Appointment
Your telehealth appointment will be conducted via a secure video platform. You'll meet one-on-one with our licensed nurse practitioner, who will review your health history, discuss your symptoms and goals, and conduct a thorough clinical evaluation.
During your visit, your provider may:
- Review your intake questionnaire and any relevant health history
- Discuss your weight loss or hormone health goals in detail
- Order lab work if needed — labs are billed separately
- Determine your eligibility for the requested program
- Discuss your personalized treatment plan and answer your questions
Our provider takes the time to make sure you fully understand your treatment plan, what to expect from your medication, and how to get the most out of your program.
Step 4 — Lab Work (If Required)
Some programs — particularly hormone replacement therapy — require lab work before your provider can prescribe medication. If labs are needed, our team will coordinate with you to get them ordered. Lab work is billed separately and is not included in your program cost.
For many weight loss program patients, lab work is not required upfront, though your provider may recommend it based on your health history.
Step 5 — Your Medication Is Shipped to Your Door
Once your provider approves your treatment plan, your compounded medication will be prepared through our SCRIPT-certified pharmacy and shipped directly to your door. All necessary supplies — including syringes and dosing instructions — are included.
Most patients receive their medication within a few business days of provider approval.
Step 6 — Ongoing Support
Your relationship with Slender Me Medical doesn't end after your first visit. Our clinical team is available to answer questions, help you manage any side effects, and support you as you progress through your program. You can reach us by phone at (951) 898-8515 during business hours.
